21, again

amber's birthday was a success!
aside from the fact that 22 sounds old to her.
so she prefers to say that she's 21, for her second year.

bambie had to work the night of her actual birthday, so last night we had a little birthday dinner party at her mom's house. i got to meet her lovely grandparents and aunt and uncle. 

and this little one in the middle, who did not like waiting for cake.

she was very happy when cake time finally came :)

because there was a surprise inside!!

aunt shane got the idea from pinterest :) amber loved it!

as a birthday present, amber's mom got her encouragement to start cooking

in the form of a beautiful new set of pots and pans.

now i suppose we have no excuse to keep getting sushi for dinner...

we promised her mom we would start looking at recipes

and even agreed that it'd be nice to have a weekly roomie dinner.

today, i went to New Leaf Market to get a head start

i love organic food. 

i'm so very excited to learn how to fashion something pretty and delicious out of it.

roomie sierra has a 22nd birthday coming up soon, too!

so we've decided to have a party at our house on the 28th for both her and amber :)
