lately, i'm here more often than anywhere else.

scenes from the charlotte-douglas international airport:

my starbucks on the corner of concourses. i sit here and drink a cup every single time.
sometimes they spell my name wrong. they're working on it.
people watching at its best. here, stewardess silhouette.
okay so mayyybe it was before noon when i ordered this bud, but i was bored and the olympics were on... i think i can be forgiven. also, no way could i afford more than one.
i learned that if you ever want to ride those obnoxious beepy carts through the airport (before the age of 70), all you have to do is flip over the handlebars of a bike and hurt yourself to the point of limping! ;)
worth it? maybe not, but it was SO MUCH FUN.
see ya in a couple days, charlotte!

I have a love/hate relationship with airports. Your photos definitely bring out the love side of that relationship and make me crave travel. Hope you had a good flight!

Ah. I love the airport as well. I mean, is it possible to just got there every day and lounge around? I secretly want to meet my future husband at an airport. We'll have an amazing love-at-first-sight moments and be merry forever.

Anyways.
Love your blog.
Now following.

that's such a compliment, and all i really hope to accomplish with this blog (the craving for travel), so thanks so much! is it weird that i'd love to hear the hate part of that love/hate relationship? airport stories fascinate me! :)

emilyyy!! you just implanted an impossible fantasy into my head! an airport romance!! why did i never think of that? i kind of always pictured a love-at-first-sight moment in a coffee shop on a rainy day. so cliche, isn't it? haha, thanks so much for your lovely thoughts!
