this picture was taken moments after my FINAL final exam, last thursday.
i may or may not have screamed and jumped and clapped as i left my classroom in the stadium.
and then maybe amber and i went straight to publix at 8:30 am to buy a bottle of dry champagne.
there's a chance that i drank half of that bottle for breakfast before going back to bed at 10 am to sleep the day away.
and so what if i didn't want to be bothered with a silly 3 hour ceremony just so i could walk across a stage in front of thousands of people i don't know while wearing a rented black cap and gown on friday night?
you know, after all that waiting, they don't even hand out the diplomas? it's just pretend!
truth be told, my family doesn't like ceremonies (or each other very much) and i don't care for puffy black caps and gowns. being the first person in my entire family to graduate from a 4-year university is enough recognition for me.
so perhaps i wore a floral print dress instead, and went out to celebrate with my best friends.
and maybe i don't remember very much from friday night, but i think i'm extremely glad for that.
i'll forgive myself for all the silly things i probably did and said because, after months of staying in while friends were going out, i think i deserved a night of uninhibited, stress-free, gregarious debauchery.
all of my hard work has finally paid off.
the bachelor's degree is in the bag!!!
i'm taking it with me to europe, and probably
doing absolutely nothing with it while i'm there. :)

Congratulations Stefanie!! That is such a HUGE accomplishment :)
thank you ma'am! :)
Thanks for your lovely comment! I love that you didn't go to your graduation. I'll be finished this summer and have no plans of walking either. Being done with school will be enough celebration for me! Congrats on graduating :)
