iguanas are the island equivalent of squirrels. they scurry about and hang out in trees. except they aren't very fluffy.
american style cars drive on the left side of the road. dangerous combo.
taxis are huge terrifying vans and they charge per person.
orange juice and milk? $9 a carton.
hitchhiking isn't out of the ordinary. people do it/offer it often.
most local islanders carry machetes. we learned this first hand.
